Summer
Reborn in the kilnof the southern summer sun
Conceived in this furnace
I embrace its blistering, cleansing breath
Waves of heat lapping my flesh
as if a tide of lava has poured
down from the sky to detoxify
skin and soil
Snowbirds seek shade and cooler climates
as the heat washes over and envelopes me
in its unyielding caress
Clear springs in a quiet wood
summon me to their waters
to provide succor to their
southern son

Hmmm...are we due for a trip to Wakulla Springs this weekend?
This makes me want to take off my clothes and jump in a river!
I love "unyielding caress!"
Trouble: We can't we have to prep for the BB-Q monday.
Osquer42: Don't fight the feeling hon.
Problem is the nearest river is the Monongahela! Eeeeeew!
