What's new in the land of Trogdor
Ok, so I am going to move. Gonna move in with a friend so I can save up some cash and get totally settled post divorce. Which will be nice. I can finally clean out all the accumulated crap of being with some one for 12 years.Yay.
Let's see what else. My boss learned that I was in earnest seeking alternative employment and has made some grumblings about more money and is attempting to lure me to stay with the idea that when he gets back from his yacht ridding globe spanning trip with his buddy in 6 months that we will go and open a new shop/tappas bar in my hometown. Esentially for me to run as my own business.
Not really buying it but it's a nice thought.
He just doesnt want me to go becuase he will have to hire two new people and get them up to speed by the end of april (which ain't gonna happen) or not go on his trip.
So there is that.
What else, what else?
Oh, Priest I had an '81 rioja last week that took about 9 hours to open up. So that bottle you have might be ass in the glass for quite a while maybe up to a day or so before it is ready to actually be consumed. Just an fyi
Have been drinking a lot of very good wine at work lately. Just Kent and I not sharing with the rest of the staff. Also I think in a bid to get me to want to stay.
Had $200 bottle of '97 Henly Shiraz he and I to "celebrate" his b-day. Even though his b-day was past.
Mine is coming up in a bout a week. Wonder what he will open for that? Should be interesting. I am willing to wager that he will brinig out the big guns to get me to stay. In this case the big gun would be a magnum of 1990 Charles Heidsick Brut. mmmmm I can taste it now.
Wow this was a rambeling stream of consciousness type of post. Better stop now.
Peace, love and wine.

No worries.
Umm it was funky, tannic, a little harsh on the edges. But it eventually smoothed out. But it never really in my opinion tasted like a rioja.
But it was good.
