Ouch that put me in my place

Ever had your ass handed to you in what you consider to be your personal realm of expertise?

Last night at work was a good night. My boss the owner was in a good mood we were drinking good well great wine and make impressive food as usual. The very last dish that was ordered was a dessert called a "Death by chocolate" being half in the bag and not particularly wanting to make said dish myself. I declared in a loud voice that is was now time for "IRON CHEF TALLAHASSEE and told my boss the challenge would be for him to design and plate the dish thematically based on a theme I was to give him.

He said.
"Ok"

I told him the IRON CHEF theme would be a day in the park.

So off the cuff he designs with Lime and strawberry coolies, chocolate sauce, whip cream and choclate covered peanuts leaves, trees, a bird and other things.

When he showed it to me 3 minutes later I was so stunned I was speechless. It was just magnificent.

And I thought to myself, "wow he just handed my ass to me on a plate."

Always interesting to have your arrogance ripped right outta ya.
